Story Synopsis:
Spielberg’s classic sci-fi fantasy about humankind’s first meeting with extraterrestrials. Impressive special effects by Douglas Trumbull. Academy Award winner for Best Cinematography. The original film had a running time of 135 minutes, the 1980 Special Edition re-issue was 132, and this 20th Anniversary LaserDisc is a combination of the two, running at 137 minutes. This spectacular Collector’s Edition includes a 140 minute documentary that features newly conducted interviews, theatrical trailers, deleted scenes, a 1977 featurette and archives.
