WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Heroes Shed No Tears is a barbaric film that depicts a wrenching journey for a team of mercenaries who are sent deep inside the borderlands of Burma, Thailand and Cambodia—to the Golden Triangle. Sent by the Thai government, they must capture a renegade general reputed for building a drug empire in the lustrous land abundant with opium and heroin. What ensues is madness, horror and gut-wrenching battles, in which killing is the tool of survival. Viewer discretion is strongly advised.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture, matted at 1.70:1, is oversaturated with green hues, bleeding colors and blacks that are inconsistently deep and undefined. Contrast and shadow delineation are poor, lacking overall clarity. Images are wanting in sharpness and detail, lacking any definition or texture. Some scenes are marred with noise and artifacts. Dark scenes look as if they are covered in a white haze. This film lacks overall consistency and detail. Subtitles cannot be read on widescreen monitors.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is undistinguished monaural that sounds very distorted, strident and irritating.
