WSR Narrative Review
Story Synopsis:
Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie is a satiric spoof (and a movie within a movie) opening with the zany Dr. Forrester in a space lab introducing a man who has been sent into space where he is forced to watch really bad movies. Interspersed throughout the film are cuts to Nelson and the crazy Dr. Forrester, and as the film unrolls, we are exposed to the humorous heckles and wisecracks of Nelson and the robots as they sit at the bottom of the screen in silhouette. The movie is cute, fun and entertaining.

LaserDisc Picture:
The picture quality on this 1.82:1 matted transfer is terrific. The rendering of This Island Earth is befittingly paled by comparison to the vividly rich and warm colors of the feature.

LaserDisc Soundtrack:
The soundtrack has an aggressive surround presence with dynamic sound effects, deep bass, and naturally integrated dialogue.
