DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a picture that is sharp and nicely detailed, with good contrast and shadow delineation. The color scheme is well balanced, with natural fleshtones, rich hues, and deep blacks. Filters are used, on occasion, to create atmospheric differences between scenes and locations. There are traces of edge enhancement noticed, as well as pixelization, but nothing that is too terribly distracting. Overall, the picture provides a satisfying visual experience. (Suzanne Hodges)
