Story Synopsis:
Clint Eastwood produced and directed
DVD Picture:
Compared to the previously released DVD, this new anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits slight improvements in color fidelity and contrast. The improved contrast allows for more detail and definition. The picture is also much smoother, with fewer distractions in the way of compression artifacts. Colors have a natural appearance that is complementary of the setting. Viewing in a completely blackened room is recommended due to the extremely dim darker scenes often only lit by fire or candlelight. The source element is much cleaner, with minimal film grain and dirt. Unfortunately, there is quite a bit of obtrusive edge enhancement. Without it, this would be an excellent DVD. (Suzanne Hodges)
