DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 2.35:1 DVD exhibits a problematic picture, but one that certainly surpasses the look of the previously released Tai Seng LaserDisc and DVD. There are issues with brightness flickering and images that range from generally sharp to somewhat blurry. Colors are fully saturated, though inconsistent in natural balance. Blacks are often undefined. The source element is revealing of film grain and some flecks of dirt. The DVD has some problems with pixel breakup and edge enhancement, but there are many scenes that still look quite good on this DVD. (Suzanne Hodges)
