    Story Synopsis:
    The Dogme 95-certified Julien Donkey-Boy by non-director Harmony Korine (Dogme 95 rules state that no director should receive on-screen credit for his work among other things like using only existing light, no props brought in, and only hand-held cameras are to be used) was inspired by his desire to illustrate what a real schizophrenic

    DVD Picture:
    The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits poor image quality, though what makes the picture so unappealing originates from the source. Apparently, the look of the film is intentional, following a set of rules drawn up for Dogme 95 (although rule number nine seems to have been broken, as the films are supposed to be seen in 1.33:1). Shot on location, with hand-held cameras and natural light, the picture is grimy with excessive amounts of grain. (Suzanne Hodges)
