DVD Picture:
The anamorphically enhanced 1.78:1 DVD exhibits a picture that definitely has dated qualities, and is visually unimpressive for a DVD. Colors appear weak, washed-out, and hazy, lacking true depth and deep blacks. Still hues are generally well balanced. Images are soft, with little fine detail or definition. Dirt is noticed in the source element, as is film grain. Pixelization can be bothersome as well. (Suzanne Hodges)
