The anamorphically enhanced 1.85:1 DVD exhibits a satisfying picture, with a color scheme that is well balanced. Fleshtones are nicely rendered, blacks are deep and solid, and hues are rich and vibrant. Images are sharp and nicely detailed, though some scenes are softly focused. The source element is revealing of dirt, artifacts, and minor film grain. There is a bit of pixelization and occasional edge enhancement, but nothing that is too obtrusive. (Suzanne Hodges)
