D-BOX Launches Quest X3ME At CEDIA 2005

16-Sep-05

D-BOX Technologies Inc. has added to its patented line-up of motion simulator products with its new flagship product, Quest X3ME (pronounced ""Extreme""), and the new 200 series, both of which were featured at the CEDIA 2005 show last weekend. With Quest X3ME motion simulation seating, the viewer is immersed in realistic motion that is perfectly synchronized on three separate axis points with onscreen action and sound. ""With Quest X3ME, D-BOX is adding a new dimension for those who are serious about their home theatre experience, but without a 'sky is the limit' budget,"" said Claude Mc Master, President and CEO of D-BOX Technologies. ""Motion Simulation Seating is the next step toward a truly immersive movie viewing experience, delivering the same bumps, shakes, turns and drops that occur onscreen so that the viewer can experience the action first hand."" For the first time, D-BOX is able to replicate the front/back, left/right AND up/down motion of the Company's more expensive product, Odysseeô. The addition of the third axis of vertical travel in Quest X3ME allows for a more vivid, encompassing movie viewing experience. Quest X3ME incorporates three motorized actuators into premium quality seating, specially designed to withstand the incredible motion forces and vibrations created by D-BOX's proprietary motion simulation system. The actuatorsññconfigured with two mounted in the front arms of the chair and the third in the rear centerññdeliver up 2Gs of acceleration to the viewer and provide up to 1.5 inches of vertical travel, nearly double the travel of previous models. ""Since first being launched in January 2005, Quest has become increasingly recognized by consumers and key players in the entertainment industry as the standard in motion simulation for the home entertainment market. We believe that our growth strategy of creating a new, moderately-priced product line that targets a larger audience, as well as innovative versions like the X3ME, will prove to be very successful for D-BOX,"" concluded Mr. Mc Master.
