Active Thermal Management announced the System 2 Rack-Mount, the third member of its popular System 2 mid-sized cooling solution family of products.ìThe system 2 Rack-Mount combines industry-leading, high-performance silent cooling protection with versatile installation optionsî said Frank Federman, ATM President.Mounting on front or rear rack rails, the attractive 3 rack-unit high 3.5î depth System 2 Rack-Mount (RM) employs proportional control circuitry; the control unit drives the fans at a speed which is proportional to the temperature rise as measured by a thermistor which the installer positions near the primary heat source within the rack. As the environment warms, the fans begin turning slowly. If the temperature continues to rise, the fansí speed increases smoothly, forcing hot air out through either the front or rear of the rack.
