DTS, Inc.'s entertainment label, DTS Entertainment (DTSE), continues to be recognized for its contributions to the surround music industry with two wins and six nominations at this year's 4th Annual Surround Music Awards, held on December 15th at the Beverly Hilton Hotel by CMP Entertainment Media. DTS Entertainment's release of "Deadwing" by Porcupine Tree won the award for Best Made For Surround Title, and the DTS / Virgin Records' release of N.E.R.D's "In Search Of..." won for Most Adventurous Mix. The winners were chosen from more than 100 submissions by record companies, studios and recording artists, and judged by a distinguished panel of surround music professionals. In addition to the two wins, DTS surround music titles were nominated for four other awards, including Best Mix: Orchestral (Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker, London Symphony Orchestra"), Best Menu Design (Porcupine Tree's "Deadwing") and Best Standard Resolution Title (Porcupine Tree's "Deadwing" and N.E.R.D.'s "In Search Of..."). "DTS is once again honored to be recognized for our work in the surround music space, and is proud to be able to work with such artists as Porcupine Tree and N.E.R.D.," said Molly Kronberg, Vice President, Worldwide Strategic Business Development, Content. "It is the support of creative and visionary musicians as these that continues to drive interest in surround in the music industry, as well as among fans worldwide."
