February 6, 2006

Universal Remote Control, Inc. showcases their entire line of Complete Control™ remote control devices during the Integrated Systems Europe Expo starting in Brussels today. Universal Remote's MX-3000In response to the growing need for simple home automation solutions, Universal Remote Control® created a comprehensive system of reliable and simplified control products designed specifically for custom -installed systems, the Complete Control™ line of remote controls and RF base stations. The unique feature sets that comprise the Complete Control remotes, including RF functionality, accentuate the growing role of the remote control as a home A/V component rather than an expendable accessory. They also give custom home integrators a wide range of solutions to accommodate any client's budget. The Complete Control family features Universal Remote Control's proprietary RF base stations that afford users the freedom to control components in settings where line-of-sight may not be an option, inside or even outside of their home. With state-of-the-art features at realistic price points, consumers will look to systems integrators for assistance with controller setup, configuration and programming. "Today's high-tech home needs a single component that can effectively communicate with multiple appliances," said Doug Cole, Senior Vice President/GM, Universal Remote Control. "With our Complete Control line, Universal Remote Control is providing integrators with high-quality solutions in a family of easy-to-use remotes. The Complete Control family also makes controller customization easier, improving on-the-job efficiency." The Complete Control family consists of the following: MX-3000 The MX-3000 is powerful, equipped with an ultra-capacity memory it is a sophisticated and PC programmable remote control that is capable of controlling 255 devices in a single group, with up to 255 pages of commands for each device. Its LCD screen (240x320 pixels) allows designers full freedom to place graphical buttons anywhere utilizing a wide variety of file formats - including graphic Animated GIF, GIF, JPEG, BMP and audio WAV files - all of which can be used to create compelling buttons, screen backgrounds and audio sounds. The power of the MX-3000 Editor software means installers can program long, complex macro routines, with the ability to program variables in the macro that keep track of what a user is doing. The MX-3000 is equipped with a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery and charging cradle. Aurora MX-950 The PC programmable Aurora MX-950 is a sleek IR/RF remote control, with rechargeable Lithium Ion battery and charger that can act as the "master" remote for an entire house. There are up to 255 pages of custom labeled buttons on an advanced multicolor LCD, with a total of 256 color-backlighting options. This feature is well suited for color-coding different zones and the LCD display automatically lights when the Aurora is picked up. Aeros MX-850 The Aeros MX-850 controls up to 20 components and can be programmed with up to 4 pages of LCD screens, plus the 33 hard buttons. The MX-850 allows you to edit the text on each LCD screen exactly as you prefer (up to 26 screens with 10 buttons per screen, for a total of 260 available text buttons and up to 5 characters per button). Custom installers can use the MX-850 Editor system software to quickly design a remote control program in minutes. Direct access to 50 favorite channels and a powerful PC programming software makes the MX-850 a solid choice for simple or complex A/V systems. Omega MX-650 The MX-650 controls up to 20 components and is capable of storing up to 912 potential Macro buttons with a smart memory back-up system that will retain the programmed memory for up to ten years, even with dead batteries. Osiris MX-350 The Osiris MX-350 gives integrators the ability to create intuitive home entertainment system management programs. The Osiris can control up to ten components with eight pages of custom labeled buttons per device. The Osiris operates in both IR and RF modes making it great for standalone operation or as the heart of a whole-house remote system when combined with an MRF-250 single-zone or MRF-300 RF multi-zone RF receiver base station. MRF-300 Multi-Zone Addressable RF Base Station The MRF-300 is addressable via 15 separate station ID's and six addressable IR outputs. This allows up to 90 components (or zones on a multi zone system) to be simultaneously controlled in one household via multiple base stations. With an included RFX-150 antenna module, custom installers can extend "no more pointing" RF automation to all areas and rooms of even the largest estates. MRF-250 Single-Zone Addressable RF Base Station Each MRF-250 can be programmed to operate equipment placed throughout the house, by installing an MRF-250 base station at each location. With the MRF-250, a custom installer can quickly design a remote control program to meet their exact needs in minutes. PCL-300 PC Upgrade Link™ The PCL-300 gives professional installers the ability to archive configurations programmed on either the MX-650 or the MX-350 remote controls so that they can be reused in the future without repeating the programming process. The MX-650 and MX-350 remote control's IR database and the operating system of each remote control can be updated whenever an improvement is available by connecting the PCL-300 to the Internet and clicking on the Live Update button.
