Extron Introduces The MVX Plus 128 VGA A Matrix Switcher

February 6, 2006

Extron Electronics announces the MVX Plus 128 VGA A, a 12x8 matrix switcher for VGA and stereo audio. This compact matrix switcher combines the performance of a wideband matrix switcher with the convenience of 15-pin HD VGA style connectors. It is ideal for use in computer training facilities, classrooms, rental and staging, mobile/field operation centers, and other applications that require wideband signal routing. “The MVX Plus 128 VGA A is designed for high resolution applications where space is a premium and ease-of-use is essential,” says Lee Dodson, vice president of marketing for Extron. “It allows the use of pre-terminated cable assemblies, such as Extron’s VGA cables, which eliminates the time and expense of connector crimping and makes installations much faster and easier.” The MVX Plus 128 VGA A is equipped with Extron’s “Plus Series” matrix switcher feature set, which includes audio input gain and attenuation and audio output volume control, as well as key Extron technologies such as ADSP™ - Advanced Digital Sync Processing, an all-digital process that corrects and restores sync signal as it passes through the switcher; DSVP™ - Digital Sync Validation Processing for verifying active input sources; and IP Link® Ethernet control for enabling the switcher to be proactively monitored and managed over a LAN, WAN, or the Internet.   The switcher can be remotely controlled using the RS-232/RS-422 serial port or the IP Link Ethernet control port. For additional flexibility, the switcher can also be controlled using an optional Extron control panel or keypad, such as the MKP 2000 and MKP 3000 Matrix Switcher X-Y Remote Control Panels.
