Vidikron has introduced its latest selection of flat-panel video displays, the DView™ Liquid Crystal Displays. This family consists of three models, offered at sizes of 26-, 32- and 37-inches, each including Vidikron’s exclusive Imagix™ video processing technology and a high-performance integrated stereo audio system. The line was developed to create the purest image quality while solving the challenges installers face in providing high-definition video from a wide range of sources and in a variety of room types. All three models are offered in Vidikron’s trademark brushed pewter finish. “With the DView family of LCD’s, we are providing our dealers with a flexible line of products that create beautiful, high-definition pictures in any home regardless of the video source and are compatible with all automation control systems,” said Jim McGall, vice president of sales and marketing at Vidikron. “LCD technology is perfect for places where larger plasmas don’t fit; places such as the kitchen, the bathroom or den. The DView line’s high-quality video display and outstanding finish add vibrant video and sophisticated style anywhere a customer prefers.” The DView LCD family includes the VL-26, VL-32, and VL-37. Each has a high definition resolution of 1366 x 768 and integrated Imagix™ digital video processing, which provides artifact-free scaling, and elevates the quality of even standard video formats to near high-definition. All three displays incorporate a 10-watt (RMS) stereo audio system using 2-way speakers that are fully integrated with the chassis, to produce rich sound and a seamless, sleek appearance. In addition, the VL-26 and VL-32 DView models also feature a 185-channel NTSC tuner (U.S. market), PIP/PBP, and V-chip capability. All models are PAL compatible. The DView series demonstrates Vidikron’s commitment to balancing spectacular performance with ease of installation and calibration for dealers, as each model integrates the Imaging Science Foundation™ (ISF) industry standards for video fidelity and accurate gray scale tracking. These calibration standards enable Vidikron installers to pinpoint the precise color and black and white levels of the display, speeding installation time and customer satisfaction within widely varied viewing environments.
