AudioControl Sends Video Into The Wall!

New AudioControl BVR-25 Balanced Line Receiver Allows For Stealth Video Installations

March 17, 2006

AudioControl, a U.S. designer and manufacturer of performance audio and video products proudly announces the addition of their new BVR-25 balanced line receiver. This latest addition to AudioControl's balanced line family of products is a balanced line video/audio receiver that is mounted to a cosmetically appealing wall plate and fits into a single gang wall box. The BVR-25 receives signals via standard Category 5 cable with an RJ-45 termination and works in conjunction with AudioControl balanced line sending units, such as the BVD-20 and BVH-20. The BVR-25 can also accommodate high bandwidth video signals, including 480, 720, and 1080 formats. "Today's customers want to see BIG video images in their media rooms but don‚t want to see a stack of equipment." explains Chris Kane of AudioControl. "Video equipment manufacturers have responded with compact projector designs and flat panel mounted display devices. Still, the cabling that drives these products is rather bulky and difficult to conceal. AudioControl balanced video products allow custom installers to route high definition video signals over basic CAT-5 cabling to almost any location the client requests. The BVR-25 then allows a dealer to provide their clients with the performance benefits of high definition video signals carefully concealed in a stealth manner behind the video display." The BVR-25 accepts a single CAT-5 wire with an RJ-45 termination and outputs a three-conductor RCA, component video signal and one RCA output that works with digital audio or composite video. AudioControl‚s current sending units, the BVD20 and BVH-20, accept and transmit component video signals of 1080, 720, or 480 formats plus digital audio or composite video signals. They then output these signals over basic CAT-5 wiring, via an RJ-45 connector. The BVR-25 receives these signals and outputs component video and digital audio! Additionally the BVR-25 is equipped with a number of features that were incorporated to provide maximum installation flexibility: - Signal Bussing: The BVR-25 is equipped with two RJ-45 connectors which, allows for "daisy chaining" the video/audio signals to multiple BVR-25's located in other zones. - Multiple Power Inputs: The BVR-25 can receive it's +12VDC for power from an 1/8‰ jack mounted on the front panel and or via a power connector located on the rear of the unit. - 12 Volt Remote Output Trigger: When the BVR-25 detects an incoming video signal, it will output a 12 volt trigger which can be used to turn-on a projector, lower a screen or assist with other system automation devices. A balanced signal distribution format is the universal standard in professional audio environments such as recording and broadcast studios where zero tolerance for noise and hum is the norm. Because of its design, balanced transmission inherently rejects the vast majority of any hum, noise, or distortion introduced along the signal path. The BVR-25 is constructed using top-grade components and ultra-low-noise circuit designs derived from the company's professional audio and instrumentation designs. The unit is backed by a solid five-year warranty. This new model joins the BLD-10, BLR-10, BLX-10, BVD-10, BVR-10, BVD-20, BVR-20 and BVH-20 balanced audio components in the AudioControl Balanced Line Driver series. The BVR-25 will begin shipping to authorized AudioControl custom installation dealers in March 2006. AudioControl has been designing and manufacturing the highest quality, award-winning home and car audio components in the United States since 1977. The company‚s headquarters, including research and development, manufacturing and production facilities are located in State of Washington, in the heart of the rainforest of the Pacific Northwest.
