Fujitsu Introduces New Piano Black Plasma Displays To Acclaimed Plasmavision 51-Series Line

High-Performance Plasma HDTVs Offer Versatility In Design and Ultimate Quality

May 1, 2006

Fujitsu General America, Inc., an innovator and recognized leader in the plasma display market, today announced that its premier line of fully integrated Plasmavision® 51-series HDTVs will also be available with a rich piano black bezel styling. These new Digital Cable Ready (DCR) plasma televisions are a fresh addition to the existing lineup of signature silver bezels introduced earlier this year. Both options are perfectly suited to a broad range of designer applications. This advanced series is Fujitsu’s first to feature QAM tuners and CableCARDä technology, and all models come standard with external, side-mounted speakers. The new black bezel model numbers and pricing are as follows: 42-inch P42XTA51UB (MSRP: $4,999), 50-inch P50XTA51UB (MSRP: $6,499), 55-inch P55XTA51UB (MSRP: $8,999) and 63-inch P63XTA51UB (MSRP: $13,499). All models are available this June. Fujitsu’s Plasmavision 51-series plasma TVs feature the acclaimed Advanced Video Movement-II (AVM-II) Digital Video Processor—two and a half generations ahead of the competition. The AVM-II processor virtually eliminates artifacts and digital noise, optimizing content from all sources. The result is exquisitely detailed picture quality and natural color display. The Plasmavision 51-series continues Fujitsu’s unrivalled leadership in flat-panel home entertainment, re-creating all the power and impact of the cinema at home.
