ATC Loudspeaker Technology Launch The New "Entry Series" Of 2 And 3 Way Passive Monitors

Consisting of the new SCM7, SCM11, SCM19 and SCM40. The enlarged and improved range of passive loudspeakers are designed for small to medium Stereo and Theatre installations.

The new speakers feature a number of subtle and substantial improvements, as a result of ATC’s in-house research programme, and the availability of new materials, giving a considerable gain in overall performance.” Features common to all four new models. Updated aesthetics with a new stepped graphite grey double front baffle, which together with a new monocoque cabinet construction, gives substantially more cabinet rigidity with the drive units more closely optimised to the cabinet cube. Model number represents internal cabinet cube in litres. The new look stepped front baffle features curved edges for reduced diffraction distortion and improved imaging. Designed for optimum performance without the grille. Although a virtually neutral grille is supplied, where aesthetic requirements prevail. The new neodynium 25mm soft-dome tweeter has an ATC precision engineered solid aluminium custom wave-guide face-plate for better and smoother HF dispersion. New Improved Crossovers, featuring metallised polypropylene capacitators, large air cored inductors, and ceramic wire round resistors for superior power handling and clarity. Flat impedance curve allowing easy load for amplifiers of 50 to 300 watts. All four speakers available in natural, richly grained, light tone cherry wood veneer. Feature Unique to SCM11 The SCM 11 features ATCs new “CLD” technology, mid bass driver, with a 45mm integral soft dome. This new Constrained Layer Damping is a driver cone technology, exclusive to ATC that has been integrated into the SCM11 monitor and represents a step-change in driver-to-system performance and reproduction of music. Advantages include reduced harmonic distortion between 300Hz and 3kHz, compared to conventional cone material, and has an extended frequency response that eases constraints on the crossover filter slope, with improved off axis response. Feature Unique to SCM19 SCM19 features ATCs famous Super Linear Technology mid-bass drive unit, identical in specification to that used in ATCs Active 20 Pro model which is used in many studios around the world. Super Linear Technology gives a reduction of third harmonic distortion, of 10-15dB between 100Hz and 3kHz, precisely articulating male voices and accurately reproducing piano music. Feature Unique to SCM40 This floor-standing monitor features optional four part precision floor spike assembly for the hardwood base plate. Multi Channel Options With discretion, these speakers can be “Mixed and Matched” for superb Multichannel application, where their wide horizontal dispersion achieves seamless channel integration. They will shortly be joined by a new matching centre channel, and sub speakers.
