New High Definition World War 1 Documentary Now In Production

Inecom Entertainment Company announced today that production is in full swing on "World War 1 - American Legacy," the next DVD in the "Minutes of History(R) Series." Although some thought it would be the "War to End All Wars," the Allied victory in World War 1 directly lead to World War 2 and drew the borders of nations where conflict continues to this day. Out of the Great War came many inspiring developments in literature, music and social equality that have carved the culture of 21st century America. Writers like E. E. Cummings, Ernest Hemingway and Alan Seeger turned tragedy into literary masterpieces. African-American soldiers from units like the Harlem Hell Fighters made history. Female volunteers and Red Cross nurses risked their lives supporting the troops and prompted the start of a new era for women. Director Mark Bussler ("Horses of Gettysburg, EXPO - Magic of the White City") is looking forward to this film because "it looks at the war from a different perspective, going beyond the statistics and vividly showing the stories of the men and women who served and how their impact can still be felt today. Many of these people like Father Duffy, jazz musician James Reese Europe, poet Joyce Kilmer and the "Hello Girls" were famous in their day and have since dropped out of public consciousness. This film will remind Americans of their importance and their legacy in art, writing, music and culture." From the summer of 1914 to November 1918, the Great War cost over 14 million lives, devastated millions of acres of land and destroyed countless architectural landmarks. Monuments and dedications to World War 1 veterans surround Americans today as a tribute to their service and sacrifice. According to Bussler, the feature-length documentary that is planned for release this year "is produced in high definition, bringing the extreme detail of the Great War to the screen. It is full of period music, photographs and monuments. Many of the images are incredibly rare and have never been seen before on DVD."
