Terra Seeks Regional Distributors

Terra division of CAMM Industries continues to ramp up its sales and marketing efforts to achieve greater market share and penetration in the high performance outdoor and custom loudspeaker markets. As part of this aggressive plan every Terra rep has been tasked with selectively setting up regional distributors in order to sell Terra products to their qualified installers. Until now, Terra products were essentially only available through traditional audio retailers and installers, buying directly from the Terra factory in Maine. According to James Banfield, founding partner of Terra, “As a small supplier, it’s difficult to get your products in front of installers who buy most or all of the products they install through distribution. At the same time we know we’ve got to support our established dealers while maintaining proper representation of our step up line. This necessitates a carefully controlled plan using like-minded distributors who understand selling better products into a commodity market. So we’ve decided to add carefully chosen regional distributors who will expose Terra products to a whole new group of installation professionals, giving them unique products to install that are better than the typical “throw away” outdoor speakers many companies sell. These distributors will be limited to sales “over the counter” and only on a direct basis, not over the Internet or by mail order.” Terra manufactures exceptionally high-quality outdoor and flush mount custom loudspeakers. The majority of Terra’s products are hand assembled in Maine, including almost all of the company’s unique woofers. Terra has been selling these excellent products for 6 years, into the custom installation and high-end audio marketplaces.
