­Gefen unveils two new matrix switchers at CEDIA: a 4x4 HDMI Matrix and a revamped 4x4 DVI Matrix, offering complete HDCP-compliance. Both of these audio/video system integrators connect and distribute four HDTV sources to four HDTV displays in a plug and play fashion. The 4x4 H DMI Matrix supports high definition video in multiple resolutions up to 1080p plus multichannel digital audio, which is routed together with the video in HDMI format. The 4x4 DVI Matrix supports high definition video up to 1920x1200 for computer systems and up to 1080p for HDTV sources. Ideal for interlacing multiple sources to multiple displays and projectors throughout the home or studio, both matrix switchers are controlled by an IR remote and through the RS-232 port, allowing for serial communications integration. Installation requires a simple connection to its four sources and four displays. Boosted by a 24v power supply, each unit switches sources and displays in seconds.
