Digital Projection International has chosen two of Vutec’s Vision XFT screens using a BriteWhite Opaque surface (1.3 gain) to present their home theater module at CEDIA in Booth 558. The two Vision XFT front projection screens, each measuring 60 inches by 141 inches in the new CinemaScope 2.35:1 format, will demonstrate the high-performance features of DPI’s 720p and 1080p single-chip and 3-chip Digital Light Processing™ projector technology for the home theater market. “After working with Vutec at InfoComm earlier this year,” commented Chuck Collins, Senior Market Development Manager for DPI, “we clearly saw the impact and added dimension that Vision XFT screens provide for our projectors. We are excited to be partnering with Vutec once again at CEDIA as we demonstrate the differences among our most advanced DLP projection displays,” Collins added. Vision XFT is the newest product in Vutec’s premier Vision X brand of video projection screens and advanced masking systems. It features up to six screen surfaces that mask vertically from 2.35:1 to 16:9 to 4:3 in one screen system-eliminating black bars on-screen while maintaining a full screen image and constant height on 2.35:1 source material. With a built-in intelligent motor control system that interfaces with every control system on the market, the flat screen Vision XFT is the only product of its kind on the market. During CEDIA, Vutec will be demonstrating an array of new and patented products from its Vision X brand, including Vision XFT, in a dedicated home theater in Booth #559. Vutec will showcase Vision XFT with a 6.0 gain SilverStar™ surface using DPI’s Mercury 5000 HD 3-chip DLP™ projector, which features a 1280 x 720p native resolution, 4,500 ANSI lumens, and a contrast ratio of >1200:1. “DPI's projectors have consistently proven their superior engineering in the home theater market,” said Kevin R. Baisley, vice president of marketing and sales for Vutec Corporation. “Their high-performance characteristics integrate power with precision to make them the projector technology of choice for Vutec’s lines of video projection screens at CEDIA.” About Vutec Corporation Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Florida, Vutec Corporation is a world leader in video projection screen technology, designing and manufacturing front and rear projection screens, masking systems and AV presentation tools.
