"Cool Amplifiers" Given New Meaning At CEDIA Expo

Frozen Sculptures Highlight Cool-running Performance of AudioControl Amplifiers

The search for the coolest thing on the CEDIA Expo 2006 show floor will ultimately end in AudioControl's booth #254 at the foot of the ice carving that will play a part in the unveiling of their new amplifiers. The intricately carved pedestal of ice will be showcasing AudioControl's new Architect Model 860 and 660 12-channel amplifiers, highlighting their cool-running Class H topology. Spectators will be treated to three unique installations carved by ice artist Michael Pizzuto, with a different piece debuting each of the first 3 days of the Expo. AudioControl is well known for the cool-running performance of their Class H topology used in their multi-channel and home theater amplifiers. So when they reveal their new Architect Model 860 and Model 660 12-channel amplifiers on the frozen medium to the world at CEDIA Expo 2006, the connection will be undeniable. Each sculpture will be a skilled blending of ice and light, capitalizing on the reflective properties of the ice and capturing the authoritative characteristics of AudioControl amplifiers in a visual spectacle. Michael Pizzuto of Creative Ice Sculptures in Golden, Colorado was commissioned to design and create the three works of art to be used in the amplifier‚s debut. Pizzuto studied the art of ice carving in Japan under Master Ice sculptor Mitsuo Shimizu, and travels the world with his craft. Pizzuto is an ACF Gold medalist and was the team captain for the first U.S.A. ice carving team in Japan international competitions.
