The Simplay HD Testing Program helps consumers identify high-definition (HD) components, such as HDTVs and next-generation DVD players, that will work together to provide a consistent “plug and play” user experience and to maximize users’ access to premium HD content. More than 100 products are currently authorized to use the Simplay HD logo. The Simplay HD Testing Program is designed to catch issues that can affect interoperability between systems before consumers experience the problems. Products bearing the Simplay HD logo have undergone testing related to the High-Definition Multimedia Interface™ (HDMI™) and High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) specifications, as well as compatibility testing with a suite of other devices that have been Simplay HD verified.
