Among the new products making their debut and being demonstrated by Matrix Audio Designs at the CEDIA Expo is the company’s new flagship family of Mi-Series Controllers. The new Mi-Series product lineup allows users to distribute audio from four, six or eight sources to as many as 64 zones. The modular design of the Mi-Series controllers offers the ability to easily add on-board single or dual AM/FM tuners or Sirius Satellite Radio tuners. An optional network interface card with Mi-Control Software enables the controller to support Mi-Control technology, providing users with full IP-based network control of the system from any network computer in the home. Also being introduced at the show will be Matrix Audio’s new Series family of speakers. Available in Q1 2007, the 6.5 and 8 inch in-wall speakers, which are designed to deliver high-fidelity audio to each zone throughout the home supported by Matrix Audio’s proprietary Speaker Wire Technology (SWT), enabling the Matrix Audio speakers to be IR controlled by any Matrix Audio remote, eliminating the need for wall-mounted keypads. Matrix Audio also announced the availability of the company’s attractive new flush-mount Touchscreen LCD keypad which supports both the Mi-Series and Delta product line, giving users full control of either the Mi-Series or Delta controllers and offers visual feedback of the AM/FM Tuner, Sirius Satellite Radio tuner, and presets. For applications that require larger or more than one set of speakers in a particular zone or room, Matrix Audio today introduced its innovative new Carbon XA expandable amplifier which works with Mi-Series and Delta controllers to provide the additional power necessary to support multiple pairs of speakers in a single zone. The Carbon XA is ideal for applications such as large backyards that require speaker pairs near the pool, patio, hot tub, and barbeque.
