Screen Research, recognized for its high-end quality projection screens, announces its new product range: SolidPix™. The SolidPix™ is the first non-acoustically screen from Screen Research. This new fabric made by Screen Research complements the existing fabric range (ClearPix1 & ClearPix2) and enlarges the product offer to customers interested in high-end quality screen and Screen Research services performances. SolidPix™ has been designed to offer a high-end quality screen that offers a new solution when the positioning of the speakers behind the screen is not convenient. As all the screen fabrics from Screen Research, this product has been designed to be the “State of the Art” of the solid screens available in the market. The research and development of the screen surface was conducted to reach the high standards of video quality required by the “Imaging Science Foundation”. As Yves Trélohan, Founder and CEO of Screen Research company, stated: “Like all the Screen Research fabrics, SolidPix™ is a neutral surface, Matte White, with a gain of 1.0, in order to get the most “cinema like” picture, and to provide any viewer in a home theater with the same picture quality. We think that getting an excellent off-axis performance in gain and in color balance is as important as the on-axis picture quality. None of our products suffers from any “Hot Spot”, or loss in the external areas of the screen. The product will be available in all screen versions of the Screen Research products line, except Le Wing, for maximum versatility to any customer’s situation. This new range is a new step in our strategy to offer one of the most exciting ranges of projection screens for “no-compromise” home theater applications”. SolidPix™ is available in all screen versions: - Fixed screens - XMask and CMask masking systems for fixed screens - Motorized screens (with or without masking) § On-Ceiling (with or without masking system) § In-Ceiling, Trap Door § In-Ceiling Slot version TheaterCurve screens (with or without masking), including our worldwide exclusivity, the unique “4-Way TheaterCurve XMask”. All the motorized versions use a tab-tensioning system to provide a perfectly flat surface. SolidPix™ screens are also available in all native ratios (16/9, 2.35 or 4/3) and are supported inside the “Screen Research custom program” for maximum flexibility to dealers needs. Even if SolidPix™ has been designed as a “no-compromise” product, the manufacturing cost is lower than that of ClearPix2. The price positioning of the SolidPix™ Range will make it possible for dealers, distributors and integrators to offer SCREEN RESEARCH screens to a larger number of customers.
