Sencore Announces New Automated Home Theater Tests!

New Automated Home Theater Tests are now available on the Sencore SP295C SoundPro Audio Analyzer that automatically control the companion DAG5161 Digital Audio Generator, to perform automated calibration and performance tests of multichannel surround sound audio systems. The SP295C and DAG5161 automated test team quickly performs eight critical home theater audio tests on a surround sound system, automatically, in less than eight minutes, without changing connections to the test equipment, audio system, or loudspeakers. This automated test system allows you to perform a complete battery of audio system evaluation tests, perform system adjustments, and perform a final set of calibration documentation tests. The eight tests performed by the automated home theater test system are: 1. Loudspeaker Reference Levels 2. Loudspeaker Polarity 3. Loudspeaker Time Synchronization 4. Reverb Decay Time 5. Early Reflection Analysis 6. Ambient Noise Analysis 7. Subwoofer Frequency Response 8. System Frequency Response You simply connect a serial control cable between the SP295C and the DAG5161, connect the DAG5161 digital output to the audio system digital input, select the new "Auto HT Test" function on the SP295C, and watch and listen as the automated test system applies all the proper test signals, makes all the desired acoustic measurements and records the test results to memory locations in the SP295C Audio Analyzer. You can then view the test results on the SP295C LCD display to know exactly what adjustments or corrections to make to the system; speaker level, time delay adjustments, loudspeaker polarities, equalization adjustments, etc. This allows you to quickly optimize the performance of any home theater surround system. You can then perform the automated test routine again, to document the final system performance.
