Hot New Onkyo Receiver And DVD Players Now In Stores

Onkyo has introduced its newest THX home theater receiver as well as a new DVD player and DVD Changer. The Onkyo TX-SR804 THX-Select2 home theater receiver, DV-SP504 universal DVD player, and DV-CP704 six-disc DVD changer are now available at Onkyo dealers nationwide. All three employ the versatile new HDMI interface for optimal performance with modern HDTV-capable flat-panel and projection video displays. The DVD player and changer include advanced video processing for output at the 720p and 1080i HDTV specifications with conventional DVDs. The Onkyo TX-SR804 is a THX Select2 Certified 7.1 channel home theater receiver that delivers powerful features for simple and flexible integration of even the most demanding home theater systems. The receiver boasts seven 105-watt amplifier channels, XM ready satellite radio compatibility, bi-directional RS-232 for home automation compatibility, and advanced 1080p-compatible HDMI repeater switching with upconversion of all video sources to HDMI for simple one-cable connection of compatible source and display equipment. The DV-SP504 features an internal video scaler capable of converting standard DVD-video to either 720p or 1080i HDTV standard, superior audio performance, and is compatible with both MP3 and WMA discs, including ID3 tag display, as well as DVD±R/RW, CD-R/RW, and JPEG image CDs. MSRP: $449 The Onkyo DV-CP704 is a stylish and high-performing six-disc DVD changer that features an HDCP-compliant HDMI output for single-cable audio and video connections to modern A/V receivers and video displays. The player is capable of upsampling DVD video to either 720p or1080i and is compatible with a wide range of disc formats, including DVD-Video, audio CDS, and CD-R/RWs encoded with WMA or MP3 files.
