New Dynaudio Audience 42SAT Wall-mount Loudspeakers To Be Introduced At 2007 CES

Dynaudio will unveil a new wall-mount loudspeaker product at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The new Audience 42SAT is the latest offering in the Audience line of Dynaudio’s high-performance Home Systems Hi-Fi loudspeaker product range. The Audience 42SAT has been specifically designed for on-wall placement, primarily as a high-performance complement to flat panel video monitors, and is equally suited for either front, center or surround channel applications. The Audience 42SAT may also be effectively employed in a traditional Sub/Sat system. They are magnetically shielded enabling placement in close proximity to video display monitors, and are mounted via a simple keyhole fixture integrated into the rear panel of the loudspeaker. The 42SAT rear panel also features channels into which the speaker cables can be hidden. The 42SAT incorporates a 28mm diameter coated soft dome tweeter with a pure aluminum voice coil and a 15 cm diameter woofer featuring Dynaudio’s proprietary MSP (magnesium silicate polymer) cone material and a large, 75 mm diameter pure aluminum voice coil in an inverted driver array. The slightly angled downward sloping baffle helps position the speaker for proper directivity in relation to the listening position. Dynaudio’s CES exhibit will be in Booth # 20662 of the Las Vegas Convention Center South Hall between January 8-11, 2007, where the company will have the Audience 42SAT on active display flanking a flat screen monitor. The Audience 42 SAT is slated for release in the first quarter of 2007 at a price of $950 per pair.
