Syntax-Brillian Corporation (Nasdaq:BRLC) announced today that, at CES 2007, the LCD and LCoS™ innovator will demonstrate multiple LCD and LCoS™ displays as technology demonstration items that showcase the company’s ongoing leadership in digital display production and design. Building upon its tradition of excellence in LCoS™ microdisplay technology, Syntax-Brillian will demonstrate a new 65” 1080p LCoS™ HDTV which is the world’s first rear-projection TV (RPTV) to feature the SiliconOptix Realta Hollywood Quality Video (HQV™) video processor. It is available for private viewing at Syntax-Brillian’s Executive Suite in the Las Vegas Hilton (appointment details below). The 65” HDTV uses a 6 Megapixel LCoS™ light engine utilizing the company’s innovative, proprietary and award-winning Brillian UltraContrast LCoS™ technology with true 1920x1080p resolution, a three chip microdisplay architecture and 10-bit image processing. Additionally, the HDTV features native on-screen contrast ratio of up to 4000:1 (without use of electromechanical or auto-iris compensation), an ultra-fine pitch matte finish screen, dynamic temperature compensation, patented uniformity correction technology and 12 inputs including HDMI, ATSC tuner, HD-component and VGA. Syntax-Brillian will also demonstrate innovative technologies in its core LCD line of products, plus new entertainment content in 3D via a specially developed LCD. Syntax-Brillian will demonstrate a new 52” LCD display in its booth at CES as well as a 32” LCD display with LED backlighting, a first for the company. From January 8th to January 11th, pre-invited visitors to Syntax-Brillian’s sales suite will be able to view a full range of consumer entertainment experiences from video games to movies presented in digital cinema quality 3D on a specially modified 32” Olevia ™ 532H LCD HDTV powered by DDD Group’s 3D technology. The 3D Olevia ™ 532H is equipped with Arisawa Manufacturing Company’s Xpol™ 3D optical material that enables both normal 2D and stereoscopic 3D content to be displayed on the screen, depending on the consumer’s preference. The 3D Olevia ™ 532H is also powered by DDD’s TriDef® Vision+™ that converts any existing 2D broadcast or DVD content to 3D in real time. “The items that we are demonstrating at CES are great examples that Syntax-Brillian is much more than a technology re-seller, but rather a true display technology innovator,” said Sam Miller, Chief Product Officer, Syntax-Brillian. “We’re proud to continue our tradition of excellence in LCD and LCoS™ design and production as we look ahead to exciting new creations for 2007.” Media and industry analysts interested in viewing Syntax-Brillian’s LCoS™ technology demonstration HDTV may contact Chad Giron to arrange for an appointment at 571.216.4894 or chad.giron@syntaxbrillian.com About Syntax-Brillian Corporation Syntax-Brillian Corporation (www.syntaxbrillian.com) is one of the world's leading manufacturers and marketers of LCD and LCoS™ HDTVs, digital cameras, and microdisplay entertainment products.
