HDMI Simplified Facilitates Connections To New HD Displays

RZ Products Group announces the HDMI Simplified(TM) (HDS) system to facilitate the conversion, connection and switching of home audio and video equipment to the new High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) standard present on the latest High-Definition (HD) displays. The new HDS(TM) system is comprised of a "5-input 1-output" HDMI 1.3 compliant switch box and optional converter cables. The HT-SW501 switch provides push button or remote selection of video and audio signals through five HDMI ports, allowing the user to share multiple sources with one HDMI display. Each HDS converter cable plugs into and is powered by the HDS switch to address the need to convert specific legacy audio and video signals to an HDMI-compatible high-definition video and multi-channel audio format. GloLink(TM) connectors incorporated into the HDS cables present a "link good" confirmation light when components are correctly connected. Orders may be placed now for second quarter 2007 shipments. The HDS product line models, functionality and MSRP are: HT-SW501, HDMI 5:1 Switch and AC Adapter, $399 HT-HDMI-300, HDMI 3-meter cable (no GloLink), $59 HT-CAV-SP101, Component analog video and S/PDIF audio IN to HDMI OUT, $249 HT-SVID-SP101, S-Video and S/PDIF audio IN to HDMI OUT, $199 HT-CVB-RC101, Composite video and Stereo analog audio IN to HDMI OUT, $149 HT-HDMI-SP100, HDMI IN to HDMI plus S/PDIF OUT, $249 "Millions of consumers are purchasing the latest HD displays. Even if they understand the HD service requirements, they are still confused about how to connect their existing set top box, DVD player, video game, TiVo or computer to their new HD display.
