UWB innovator, Pulse~LINK, Inc., who demonstrated the industry's first wireless HDMI solution last year at CES, will again present a number of new innovations for digital home networking at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, January 8-11, 2007. Pulse~LINK will be introducing its CWave™ Whole-Home Interactive HD™ solution with demonstrations at numerous high-profile CES locations including booths and meeting rooms hosted by the High Definition Audio-Video Network Alliance (HANA), the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA), Texas Instruments, and Vivid Logic- in addition to Pulse~LINK's booth #26621 in the TechHome TechZone, South Hall 2, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Pulse~LINK will also premiere its award-winning CWave™ Ultra Wideband (UWB) technology with demonstrations at the CES Unveiled press preview, January 6, and a special CES HANA reception on January 9, 2007. Pulse~LINK is the first semiconductor company to deliver a solution capable of true room-to-room networking of interactive HD multimedia content from a hybrid wired/wireless chipset. CWave enables IPTV functionality for High Definition content located anywhere in the home to be shared throughout the home using the existing coax backbone with wireless connectivity in each room from the same chipset. CWave will be featured in the industry's first demonstration of simultaneous operation of 1394 and Ethernet supported devices over shared coax and wireless media. A combination of devices, including HDTVs, Blu-ray Players, DVRs, Media Center PCs, and Multimedia Storage devices, will be used to showcase room-to-room connectivity of HD content with interactive menu selection guides. Among them will be the new DLNA CERTIFIED™ Pioneer® Elite® Blu-ray Disc player and PureVision® high-definition plasma TVs, DLNA CERTIFIED Sony Media Center Laptops, HANA enabled DVRs and HDTVs supplied by Samsung, and hard drives based on Indigita A/V chips from IntellaSys. Demonstrations will also showcase Pulse~LINK`s ability to wirelessly stream 1080p HD content within a room between a Media center PC and a wirelessly connected HDTV. HANA is initially focused on an approach based on 1394 to network HD content around the home. An Ethernet-over-coax connection allows for the establishment of an Ethernet network between rooms for products, such as a DLNA CERTIFIED device, that would need an IP connection. Pulse~LINK's ability to simultaneously deliver 1394 AND Ethernet over a single coaxial cable enables products based on either network to coexist within the same home. CWave's superior Gigabit performance easily enables Pulse~LINK to demonstrate four simultaneous 1080p HD streams delivered across a common coaxial cable backbone representing source and display devices located in four different rooms throughout a home. Using each HDTV's remote control, interactive on-screen menus allow users to select HD content from a variety of HD content sources that are located in each of the other rooms with the ability to pause, fast-forward and fast-rewind the HD program while it is being viewed.
