Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name in Custom Installation®, announced today the shipment of the RS232G Bi-directional Gateway to factory-authorized Niles dealers. The RS232G module integrates subsystems, such as Lutron® lighting controls and Escient® and ReQuest® music servers with the award-winning whole-house audio system IntelliControl® ICS. Subsystems connected via RS232 are controlled just like any IntelliControl ICS source, with each product’s metadata and source information sent to IntelliControl ICS keypads, touchscreens and two-way wireless iRemote® for ease of use and simplified control. Additionally the RS232G allows popular control panel interfaces to operate the IntelliControl ICS system. The RS232G integrates easily via CAT 5 and can be positioned up to 100 yards away from the main system.
