In a first for TV, fans of the new FX drama series Dirt, starring Courtney Cox, can access and display branded imagery from the show in stunning HD, it was announced today by FX and GalleryPlayer, the recognized leader in high-definition digital art and photography. Imagery for Dirt, which premieres on Tuesday, January 2 at 10 PM ET/PT on FX, is available at www.partner.galleryplayer.com/fx/dirt.com or at the official Dirt site www.fxnetworks.com/dirt/. In January, Comcast HD digital subscribers nationwide will have free access to Dirt imagery as part of Comcast’s signature GalleryPlayer On Demand service, along with other collections of name brand art and photography from GalleryPlayer. “GalleryPlayer offers a new way for studios to get immediate and widespread distribution for their image assets, while reaching consumers on their TV’s when they are not “watching” their TV as well as online,” said Kevin Akeroyd, GalleryPlayer CEO. “Moving forward you can expect to see GalleryPlayer expand its collections to include movies, individual artists and entertainers, fashion and more.” This is the first of many collections that GalleryPlayer will make available with FX and with other studios over the coming months. Like the tabloid magazines featured in Dirt, the collection of 22 images is racy, risqué and edgy, and should appeal to fans of the show. In Dirt, Cox plays "Lucy Spiller," the editor-in-chief of two of the country’s most widely read tabloid magazines that controls the fates of the celebrities lining the pages. Dirt revolves around the dynamic Spiller; “Don Konkey” (Ian Hart) a schizophrenic paparazzo uncovering the dirt people love to read; “Holt McLaren” (Josh Stewart) a struggling actor trying to make it; and McLaren’s girlfriend “Julia Mallory” (Laura Allen) a rising Hollywood star.
