Gefen Introduces Two New Switchers Supporting Dual Link DVI Displays

April 17, 2007

Connectivity solutions provider Gefen brings its new dual link DVI switchers to NAB. Both are designed to support the delivery of the brilliant resolutions transmitted through the dual link DVI connector, reaching up to 3840x2400. The 4x1 DVI DL KVM Switcher allows studio pros to access four different computers from one dual link DVI display. It uses a single, plug and play box that interfaces between the computers and the one display, with USB connectivity providing keyboard/mouse control. From this single workstation, users switch between their computers using the IR remote control or an RS-232 connection. It's a simple-to-use solution that allows greater access to data, eliminating the need to network while curbing hardware costs. The 2x2 DVI DL Switcher is geared towards extended desktop pros using two dual link DVI displays. It enables a seamless connection of two computers to both displays, delivering DVI DL resolutions and USB keyboard/mouse control with no delay. Users select their source with the unit's IR remote or through the RS-232 connection. Visit Gefen at booth SL2305 to see both switchers in action and receive information on the array of switching solutions available from Gefen.
