Home Theater Seating Specialist Rose Pefhany Forms Oasis Home Theatre Seating; Takes Over Distribution Of Irwin Seating Company’s Products

Home theater seating specialist Rose Pefhany today officially announced the formation of her new company, Oasis Home Theatre Seating, which caters to the home theater and interior design channels. Based in Toronto, Ontario and serving the United States and Canada, Oasis Home Theatre Seating distributes select Irwin Seating Company products as well as its own brand of home entertainment furniture. Products offered include lavish home theater loungers (recliners) made of fine Italian leathers and burled woods; traditional theater-rocker style chairs; club chairs with matching ottomans; bar stools and tables and pillows. Pefhany is considered by many custom integrators and industry peers to have pioneered the home theater-seating category; she began her career in the consumer electronics industry by leading international commercial seating manufacturer Irwin Seating Company to the home theater marketplace in the early 90's. There, Pefhany personally designed the company's popular selling Ambassador and Performance VIP models. In early 2006, Irwin Seating Company closed its Toronto facility, from where Pefhany led their home theater operations. Exiting the lounger segment of their home theater business, Irwin Seating Company granted Pefhany the rights to take over manufacturing and sales of the Ambassador and Performance VIP loungers. The company also granted Pefhany the rights to distribute their Ambassador, Marquee and Springfield rocker-style theater chairs, which continue to be built at their Grand Rapids, Michigan plant. Having cultivated Irwin Seating Company's dealer network these past two decades, and with long-standing relationships in place with seating supply vendors and manufacturers, Pefhany seamlessly began supplying dealers as Oasis Home Theatre Seating last year, in step with Irwin Seating Company's departure. Gail (Stefanos) Hutchins, who assisted Pefhany for many years in the Irwin Seating Company venture, joined Oasis Home Theatre Seating in the role of business administrator, where she is responsible for all day-to-day business activities. Pefhany says, "We are overjoyed to be able to continue to bring to market these wonderful home theater seating products that so many custom integrators and interior designers have long relied upon for their client's entertainment needs.
