Syntax-Brillian Corporation (Nasdaq:BRLC) is scheduled to join the broad-market Russell 3000(R) Index when it is reconstituted on June 22, 2007, according to a preliminary list of additions posted on the Russell Investment Group's Web site on June 11, 2007. Final membership in the index will be announced on June 25, 2007. Membership in the Russell 3000, which remains in place for one year, means automatic inclusion in the large-cap Russell 1000(R) Index or small-cap Russell 2000(R) Index as well as the appropriate growth and value style indexes. Russell determines membership for its equity indexes primarily by objective, market-capitalization rankings and style attributes. "Inclusion in the Russell 3000 Index will be a significant milestone for Syntax-Brillian," said Vincent Sollitto, chairman and chief executive officer. "As one of approximately 275 new additions to the index, we expect that the listing will further broaden our visibility within the investment community and promote greater awareness among retail as well as institutional investors." Russell indexes are widely used by investment managers and institutional investors for index funds and as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies. According to Russell, approximately $4 trillion in assets currently are benchmarked to them. Further information on the Russell indexes can be found at http://www.russell.com.
