Definitive Technology Names New Executive V.P. And V.P. Of Marketing

Definitive Technology, a division of Directed Electronics (Nasdaq: DEIX) today announced that Dave Peet, the company’s V.P. of Sales, has been appointed to the newly created position of Executive Vice President. In addition, Paul DiComo has been appointed to the newly created position of V.P of Marketing. Mr. Peet has been at Definitive Technology since 2001. He served as International Sales Manager from 2001 to 2005 and most recently as V. P. of Sales from 2005 to the present. Prior to joining Definitive, Mr. Peet spent his entire working career in the consumer electronics industry in various roles of increasing responsibility including Audio Buyer at United Audio, Category Manager, and Electronics at Montgomery Wards. Sandy Gross, President of Definitive Technology stated, “Dave Peet has, over the last several years, taken on a significant and expanded role in the management of Definitive Technology. I am excited to appoint him to the newly created position of Executive V.P., which more accurately describes the new responsibilities that he now handles in addition to heading up Definitive’s sales efforts.” In addition, Definitive announced the appointment of Paul DiComo to the newly created position of V.P. of Marketing. Mr. DiComo comes to Definitive from another Directed Electronics company, Polk Audio, where he has had an extensive and impressive career over the last 24+ years serving first as Polk’s National Sales Manager and since 1995 as Polk’s Marketing Manager. Before Mr. DiComo came to Polk in 1983 he served as National Sales Coordinator at NAD. Regarding Mr. DiComo, Mr. Gross stated, “I am thrilled to be working with Paul again. I have conducted a long and extensive search to fill this marketing position and feel that we have hired the best person in the industry for the job.”
