Silicon Optix announced that Realta HQV(R) processing will be included in Denon's upcoming flagship A/V receiver, the AVR-5308CI (SRP $5,199), and their first Blu-ray Disc player, the DVD-3800BDCI (SRP $1,999). Both models will be available this fall. "It only made sense for us to pair our flagship A/V receiver and Blu-ray player with the top-of-the-line Realta HQV processing. The receiver has become the hub for all sources. By putting world-class video processing in our receiver, we are allowing for the very best visual experience from any source to any display," said Jeff Talmadge, Denon's Director of Product Development and Systems Integration. "By adding Realta HQV processing to our Blu-ray player, we are not only delivering the best Blu-ray player in the market, but also the best upconverting player for standard definition DVDs," continued Talmadge. Key to Realta HQV's image-enhancing power is its ability to perform over one trillion video-processing operations per second. Realta HQV features no-compromise, true 1080i-to-1080p deinterlacing, 3:2/2:2 and advanced cadence detection, motion-adaptive per-pixel HD noise reduction, advanced scaling, detail enhancement, and flexible keystone correction. "Denon was the first company to adopt HQV processing, and is now the first to use Realta HQV in their A/V receiver and Blu-ray player," said Jim Mannos, President and CEO of Silicon Optix. "The processing power of Realta is one of the unique features that separates Denon products from the rest of the pack. It has been a great partnership between our two companies. Denon and Silicon Optix share the common goal of putting out the very best products in the industry."
