Developed specifically for the European market, Mirage engineered its new NANO 5.1 HGB to deliver an immense three-dimensional soundstage from a petite and sophisticated home theater package. Consisting of four matching NANO satellite speakers to serve as front and surround channels, a NANO center channel, and a newly developed NANO S8 subwoofer, this system elegantly fits in almost anywhere and in any type of environment. "Unlike other compact home theater designs that create a relatively focused sweet spot, the NANO HGB evenly fills out your room, allowing you to sit anywhere and still enjoy the full impact of your favorite music and movies," said Martin Tustin-Fuchs, Mirage product line manager. "And it has sleek and sexy cosmetics to boot." Standing less than 6-inches tall and just over 4-inches deep, each magnetically-shielded NANO satellite employs a 0.75-inch Pure Titanium Hybrid™ tweeter and a 2.75-inch titanium deposit polypropylene woofer with butyl surround. More importantly, these satellites feature exclusive OMNIPOLAR™ Technology to achieve the company's rich and spacious 360-degree sound. Equipped with high-quality five-way binding posts and offering complete placement flexibility, these speakers can be wall mounted using the included mounting brackets, placed on a table, tucked away on a bookshelf, or affixed to optional MS-STB stands. An ideal companion for the satellites, the magnetically-shielded NANO center channel is a two-way design that utilizes proprietary OMNIGUIDE technology with a 2/3-inch Pure Titanium Hybrid tweeter and 3-inch polypropylene woofer. Constructed of high-quality extruded aluminum, the center channel features premium five-way mounting terminals on the back of its cabinet for improved speaker connections. It comes equipped with simple tabletop mount as well as a unique bracket for flush mounting to a wall. Completing the system's bottom-end performance is the NANO S8. This powerful front-ported subwoofer employs a down-firing 8-inch polypropylene woofer with a patented Ribbed Elliptical Surround™ coupled to an efficient Class A-B amplifier. This proprietary surround eliminates any surround dimpling, enabling this subwoofer to play lower with greater output and fidelity. Available in a luxurious high-gloss black lacquer finish with black cloth grilles, the NANO 5.1 HGB is slated to hit the European market this fall.
