Jamo Introduces A 400 Speakers

Entry-level flat-panel series a new standard of audio-visual elegance On display at CEDIA 2007 in Booth #110

August 30, 2007

With similar depth and styling to popular flat-panel televisions, the new Jamo A 400 speakers are elegant, high-performance audio solutions that beautifully complement this growing consumer electronics segment. Styled by award-winning designers Smedegaard and Weis, the A 400 series is part of the company's Aesthetic range of designer speakers. While maintaining the same smart design ethic as the company's well-established A 70 series, the entry-level A 400 models come in at lower price points by utilizing an inert extruded polymer cabinet material rather than aluminum alloy. Consisting of five mix-and-match models, the A 400 lineup includes: A 407 – Ideal for main front-channel use in a multi-channel home theater system, this floorstanding model employs a 1-inch (25mm) woven textile dome tweeter and four mid/bass drivers. A 405 – Perfect for front and/or rear-channel surround use in a multi-channel home theater system, this satellite speaker is designed for shelf or wall mounting. Essentially a smaller version of the A 407, it employs a 1-inch (25mm) woven textile dome tweeter and two mid/bass drivers. A 402 – Although it's the smallest speaker in the series, this wall-mountable satellite still produces high-performance sound from a single coaxial 3-inch driver and a ¾-inch tweeter mounted on a separate plastic "bridge." A 400 CEN – This dialogue speaker features the same driver configuration as the A 405, but is designed to allow for horizontal shelf or wall mounting (mounting accessories included). A 400 SUB – A reflex-ported design, this sophisticated subwoofer provides impressive low-frequency response by employing an 8-inch driver and 200 watts of power. As with every Jamo product, the A 400 series meticulously combines innovative technology with quality craftsmanship and exquisite Danish design.
