Nordost Brings New Omni-Konnekt Cable To CEDIA

Nordost is proud to announce the introduction of a new line of custom installation cables called WYREWIZARD OMNI-KONNEKT. The new line consists of the following products: OMNI-KONNEKT OK2 and OMNI-KONNEKT OK4+2 are high performance installation cables that conform to CL2 for in-wall use. Each conductor is a 65 strand count 99.99999% OFC copper for maximum flexibility. The conductors are jacketed with high quality extruded FEP which lower capacitance and signal loss over long runs. The cables are jacketed in a warm gray color designed to blend into any décor. The cables are available in spools sizes of 200 ft (61M) and 500 ft (152M). Prices: Suggested retail: OK2 $5.99 per ft, OK4+2 $10.99 per ft. OK4+2 gives one the flexibility of using one cable as a 4 conductor 16 Gauge or doubling it as a 2 conductor 14 Gauge. Run it now and if the system requirements change, terminate it as a 14/2. The internal colors are purple (+ or positive) and white (– or negative). The second set of conductors is purple and white with a gold Kevlar stripe. Terminate the two purple conductors together and the two white conductors together to make the cable a 14 Gauge 2 conductor cable. For maximum flexibility and superb sonic performance OMNI-KONNEKT 4+2 by Nordost is the smart choice. OMNI-KONNEKT AVD is a single RCA cable which can be used for audio, video and digital signals. Simply select the supplied colored rings which fit around the RCA connector to designate the application and select the length of cable required. For one channel of audio, use one red and one black cable, for composite video or 75 Ohm digital use a single yellow cable. For component video, use three cables with blue, green and red rings. To wire to a sub-woofer select a cable of the desired length and connect it to the sub-woofer using the supplied Y connector. Each OMNI – KONNEKT AVD cable uses a silver plated solid-core OFC conductor with Nordost’s proprietary Micro Mono-Filament Technology. The cable is dual shielded and is impedance matched to a tolerance of less than 1% for 75 ohm video applications. The cable is terminated with high quality gold plated NEUTRIK RCA connectors using RoHS compliant silver solder. The outer jacket is flame resistant in a warm gray color designed to blend into any décor. The cables are manufactured and terminated at Nordost’s factory in Ashland, MA USA. OMNI-KONNEKT AVD comes in an attractive metal case with a starter pack of cables. All of the cables an installer needs to quickly hook up an entire system is in one easy pack. The OMNI-KONNEKT AVD kit contains the following single cables 0.5m (1.64 ft) x 6, 1.0m (3.28ft) x 10, 1.5m (4.92ft) x 10, 2.0m (6.56) x 10 3.0m (9.84ft) x 4, 5.0m (16.4ft) x 1, 7.0m(22.97ft) x 1, and Y connectors 0.2m (7.87in) RCA female to 2 RCA male x 2.
