SE2 Labs has partnered with Vidikron to create a complete home theater package that includes a Vidikron video display and SE2 Labs' yet-to-be-released Integrated Theater Console, the company announced today. The Vikidron displays have been created specifically for use with the ITC One. SE2 Labs, a home entertainment technology company based near Salt Lake City, Utah, selected the Union City, California-based video manufacturer because of their reputation as the best-in-breed flat panel and projection system provider, according to SE2 Labs founder and president Michael Pyle. "Vidikron's products have always delivered the best in terms of display quality, design and versatility," said Pyle. "That was exactly what we are looking for. We're creating the very best in home theater consoles. In order to capture and convey the quality of the Integrated Theater Console, we needed the very finest video display partner we could find. Vidikron was the natural choice." The Integrated Theater Console, or ITC One combines a state-of-the-art HD-DVD player, Hi-Def TiVo, a high-end Digital Surround Processor, high-end Class D amplifiers, an Apple Video iPod with Dock, and a top-of-the line gaming system, among many other features and components. The entire package will be contained in a single box the size of a microwave oven, and controlled by a single proprietary remote control. The completion of a working industrial and mechanical design will enable SE2 Labs to complete a working prototype. The ITC will seek to radically change the way home theater setups are designed and installed. The ITC system, with all its components, will come in a box less than two feet square. All components will ship from the factory already fully installed, fully programmed, fully integrated, and fully optimized. All that will be left for the installer to do is connect the speakers, connect the TV, and turn it on, says Pyle. The system will also come with a single, cutting-edge remote control, already programmed and optimized for the ITC, designed to make operating all the components easier than ever thought possible. SE2 Labs' ITC One is available now at a starting retail price of around $20,000.
