Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Inc. is now shipping a full line-up of new SuperSlim LCD flat panel and SuperSlim DLP® large screen HDTVs that deliver maximum picture in minimum space. Both categories feature Mitsubishi’s innovative UltraThin Frame™ design, which reduces frame width to less than one inch and delivers what may be the thinnest frame in the industry. On LCD models, UltraThin Frame™ is paired with the hidden speakers and low profile design for a minimalist silhouette that appears to virtually float in space. With more screen and less frame, the Mitsubishi SuperSlim 46-inch LCD flat panel is only 42 inches wide and sleekly fits into a space equal to or smaller than the typical 42-inch plasma set. Mitsubishi has also dramatically slimmed down its DLP® models with a lightweight, compact design paired with UltraThin Frame™ for a set that’s pounds lighter and inches thinner. The new SuperSlim 73-inch DLP®, for example, weighs only 98 lbs and is only 17.5 inches deep. It takes up a smaller footprint than some 60-inch plasmas mounted on a stand, and delivers a bigger picture in less space with less energy consumption, less weight and no burn-in. This year all Mitsubishi TVs display at 1080p resolution. Mitsubishi HDTVs display over two million pixels, more than twice the resolution of 720p increasing the detail and reducing the viewing distance. The recommended minimum viewing distance for a 65-inch Mitsubishi 1080p DLP® television is only eight feet, making it possible to get an immersive experience with a large screen TV in a much smaller room. Last year, Mitsubishi introduced the industry’s first and only 6-Color Processor™. This year Mitsubishi unveils another major evolution in color capability with x.v.Color™. At the dawn of a new standard in HD color, Mitsubishi TVs are future-ready with the ability to receive and display more color than standard high definition. x.v.Color™ capability is built into every Mitsubishi HDTV and is powered by our exclusive 6-Color Processor™. Mitsubishi also leads the industry with HDMI™ 1.3 inputs, advanced consumer device controls, SimplayHD™ certification, and Smooth120hz™ for fast motion blur reduction. Many of Mitsubishi’s exciting SuperSlim 1080p HDTVs will be on display this September in CEDIA Booth 540 in Denver.
