Leon Speakers Inc., a world leader in custom, audiophile-grade, on-wall loudspeakers for flat panel displays, today announced the release of the Horizon™ 616 (Hz616), the industry's first three-channel undermount speaker specifically designed for plus-sized flat screens and projectors. Designed with extremely long-throw, high-powered drivers, the Horizon 616 provides the ultimate solution for home audio, home theater, and commercial applications. The Hz616 is beautifully styled and expertly crafted to exactly match the dimensions and finish of any display — from the largest projection screen to a 108-inch plasma TV. Utilizing six-inch Peerless HDS woofers and Morel MDT-29 tweeters, Leon's latest model provides a maximum power handling of 200 W per channel (260 W center channel) and a 55-Hz to 22-kHz range. The Hz616 measures nine inches tall by four inches deep, and the width matches the specified TV. It is available in LCR, LR, and center configurations. "The Hz616 is the largest Horizon speaker cabinet that Leon makes and is meant to fill the biggest of rooms with full-range sound," said Jeff Gordon, CEO of Leon Speakers. "It offers maximum SPL with a minimum amount of space; and for custom installers, it provides the versatility to get the floor standing speakers off the ground and directly below the screen for easy placement and less clutter, while still delivering all the power and fidelity." Highly specialized mounting accessories to accommodate almost every conceivable installation and application are also available, making the installation quick, simple, and aesthetically pleasing. The Horizon 616 is available now. Prices start at $3,495 MSRP for LCR configurations; $2,895 for LR configurations; and $2,295 MSRP for center-only configurations.
