Four New Multi-Channel Receivers Marantz is upgrading its acclaimed line of multi-channel audio / video receivers at CEDIA 2007 with the introduction of four new models that provide custom installers with the leading-edge tools and capabilities they need to serve their clients with dynamic surround sound solutions and multi-room signal distribution. The company’s four new 7.1-channel receivers, all with HDMI 1.3 switching capability, include the SR8002 (SRP: $2,099.99), replacing the SR8001; the SR7002 (SRP: $1,499.99), replacing the SR7001; the SR5002 (SRP: $799.99), replacing the SR5001; and the SR4002 (SRP: $599.99), replacing the SR4001. S.S.X. (Simple Surround Xperience): One-Piece Surround Sound Solution Marantz is debuting its innovative S.S.X. (Simple Surround Xperience), a one-piece revolution in dynamic, room-filling home theater audio. The S.S.X. system (Model ES7001) features advanced OPSODIS (Optimal Source Distribution) technology. The elegantly styled system sports six built-in speakers in a simple and sleek surround sound package that’s ideal for use with flat-panel TVs in smaller living spaces or secondary viewing areas. All loudspeaker drivers, amplifiers and digital processing technologies are housed and strategically arrayed in the ES7001’s single “soundbar.” The ES7001 will be available in September 2007 for a suggested retail price of $1,299. New Universal Remote Controls Marantz is introducing a new line of advanced Universal Remote Controls at CEDIA 2007 that offer intuitive universal control of a user’s entire home entertainment system, with more options for custom programmability. The company’s new line of advanced remotes is led by the flagship Model RC9001 Universal Learning Remote (SRP: $1,500) – the ultimate solution for complete multi-zone home theater control. Featuring both WiFi and RF command and control capability, the RC9001 incorporates a high-resolution 3.7” LCD touchscreen and is designed to unify all components of a total multi-zone home theater system, from high-end home theater equipment and custom lighting to multi-room audio solutions. Model BD8002 BD-ROM Profile 1 version 1.1 Blu-ray Disc Player Marantz is also debuting its first BD-ROM Profile 1 version 1.1 Blu-ray Disc Player (SRP: $2099.99). The Marantz BD8002 Blu-ray DVD player features the acclaimed 10-bit Silicon Optix Realta chipset for the ultimate high-definition video resolution possible via HDMI™ connection, as well as the finest possible audio performance, including high-definition audio decoding and DDSC-HD audio output.
