2007 Holiday Spending On Consumer Electronics In The US

October 1, 2007

Research and Markets has announced the addition of 2007 Holiday Spending on Consumer Electronics in the US to their offering. Consumer electronic (CE) products continue to top holiday wish lists, which is good news for CE manufacturers and suppliers alike. For the second year in a row, we fielded a survey to its proprietary Technology Adoption Panel (TAP) to determine the different CE product segments consumers are considering for purchase this holiday season. For the 2006 holiday season, digital cameras topped the list, followed closely by High Definition TVs (HDTVs), Personal Computers (PCs), portable MP3 players, and portable GPS devices. This year, HDTVs top respondents' wish list, followed by PCs, digital cameras, and portable media players (PMPs). This primary research-based report outlines the major CE products consumers are considering for purchase this holiday season. It ranks the most popular CE products and further explores why respondents are planning to purchase CE products. Companies manufacturing CE products, such as digital cameras, audio-only MP3 players, PMPs, HDTVs, and PCs should benefit from the information in this report.
