Radiient Technologies, Inc. announced today that its Repeat-6 HDMI/HDCP audio-video six-output distributor has received all three industry certifications that, collectively, ensure the interoperability and the highest level of content delivery to as many as six output devices from any single HD source. According to Jano Banks, Radiient’s CEO and founder, “Professional installers and designers of video systems can be extremely confident that when they set up their systems with a Repeat-6 in the mix, the system will work.” Banks adds, “We take these certifications seriously because [in the case of the Repeat-6] it is the only way to assure trouble-free content delivery between high-definition audio-video components — time is money, and connectivity should be something installers don’t have to worry about.” The three certifications are HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface), HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) and Simplay HD™. Radiient’s Repeat-6 is the only distributor that is HDMI, HDCP and Simplay HD certified. Also, Repeat-6 has been tested and guaranteed to perform at Full HD 1080p, which supports high-end LCD, plasma displays and other HD media sources. These sources include DVD, Blu-ray, HD-DVD, PS3, Xbox Elite, HD satellite and cable set top boxes, and HDMI PCs. Leslie Chard, president of HDMI Licensing, LLC, has this to say about the launch of the Repeat-6: “Radiient has again demonstrated its expertise in HDMI product development with the introduction of the Repeat-6. The company has always been an innovator in HDMI-compliant through-switches. The launch of the Repeat-6, a compliant multi-output HDMI/HDCP repeater, is yet another example of its industry leadership. Radiient’s switch and distributor products provide key building blocks for installers and consumers to realize the full potential of HDMI systems.” According to Stephen Balogh, president, Digital Content Protection LLC, “The Radiient Repeat-6 is the first multi-output device tested by DCP LLC HDCP Lab that passes all of the tests for repeaters in the Compliance Test Specification. The Lab is recommending that all HDCP Authorized Test Centers use the Repeat-6 as part of the standard equipment for testing other devices.” “Compliance with HDMI and HDCP specifications is a critical first step to delivering unsurpassed performance,” said Simplay Labs President Joseph Lias. “When a product passes Simplay HD testing, it’s assured to have been tested for the maximum level of real-world application interoperability performance, setup and operational entertainment value.” “Simplay HD verification provides consumers the confidence products go beyond basic interface requirements and promises simple setup and the optimum product performance consumers demand,” Lias added. “Radiient’s Repeat-6 is a great example of a product that has passed our rigorous verification suite, ensuring consumers enjoy the performance of a lifetime from their home entertainment equipment.”
