Westan To Distribute HD VMD Products Through Australia And New Zealand In Q4

New Medium Enterprises announced today its latest commercial partnership with leading Australian CE distribution and retail company Westan Australia to distribute its HD VMD (Versatile Multilayer Disc) Players and discs throughout the Oceana market. NME will release its full high definition (HD) 1080p HD VMD Players and bundle boxes with Westan, bring affordable true high definition to consumers in the region. NME Players will also be bundled together with five Icon Film Distribution blockbuster hit titles, including The Queen, We Were Soldiers, The Hitcher, Footy Legends and Butterfly Effect II. Products will be sold in mainstream retail outlets and bundles boxes will be available at an RRP of AUS$349 and also accessible online at Amazon.com and NME's E-commerce web store. NME hopes to leverage Westan's wealth of industry expertise and knowledge in delivering a wide range of high quality, innovative digital lifestyle products to consumers down under. In addition, Westan will be distributing popular retail titles from Icon in the new HD VMD format including Apocalypto, Miss Potter, The Descent, Scoop and Little Fish. Westan Australia is a leader in technology distribution for the IT and consumer electronics (CE) markets with branches and warehousing across Australia and New Zealand. They currently distribute CE and digital lifestyle products including plasma screens, DVD players, projectors with leading brands such as LG, Samsung, Epson, working with mass-retailers including Target, Myer, K-Mart and Harvey Norman.
