New Matrix Switcher Delivers Easy System Integration Among Four Displays And Four Video Sources

The newest switcher to join Gefen’s growing line of matrix switching solutions is the 4x4 Component Audio Matrix. This rack mountable matrix enables a plug and play connection between four component video sources and four component video displays. It supports all set-top boxes, digital video recorders, disc players and video devices equipped with component video connectors. Because the component format does not transmit audio, Gefen has equipped this matrix switcher with RCA left/right connectors so audio is delivered alongside the video for a true HDTV experience. It delivers high definition resolutions up to 1080p. System setup is simple, requiring a connection of four component video and audio cables to the 4x4 Component Audio Matix inputs, and four component displays to the Matrix's outputs. Users assign each source to a display using the IR remote that comes with the system, the front-panel buttons or the RS-232 connection with smart control. For those wanting to distribute component video and audio long-distance, Gefen offers a Component Audio Extender (EXT-COMPAUD-141), capable of extending both audio and video signals up to 1000-feet over just one CAT-5e cable.
